Wenn Batman und Superman zusammenkommen, spricht man von World’s Finest, dem Treffen der Weltbesten. Eine Einführung gibt es hier. Im Folgenden eine Liste der gemeinsamen Abenteuer, angefangen mit der Serie World’s Finest Comics, die bereits 1941 begonnen wurde, aber erst ab 1954 traten die beiden Helden zusammen auf. Die erste Begegnung fand in der Serie Superman statt:

Von 1970 bis 1972 war die Serie Team-ups mit Superman und anderen Helden gewidmet. Ab 1973 bis 1976 tauchten in sechs Ausgaben die Super-Sons auf, die Söhne von Batman und Superman. Ab 1966 erschienen in einzelnen Ausgaben nur Nachdrucke (Reprints) älterer Geschichten.

World’s Finest #71-116 sind erschienen in Batman & Superman in World’s Finest: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1 (2015) und in zwei Paperback-Ausgaben, #117-158 erscheinen im Omnibus Vol. 2 (2019).

Mini-Serien und One-Shots (1986-2010)

Nachdem World’s Finest 1986 eingestellt wurde, kam es nur noch sporadisch zu Treffen zwischen Batman und Superman, mal in regulären Serien, mal in Mini-Serien, davon trugen einige auch den Titel World’s Finest.

Superman/Batman (2003-2011)

Die Serie brachte es auf 87 Ausgaben und fünf Annuals. Die meisten Ausgaben wurden in Paperbacks gesammelt, seit 2014 erscheint eine neue Edition mit insgesamt sieben wesentlich umfangreicheren Bänden.

The New 52/Rebirth (2011ff.)

Nach dem Reboot des DC-Universums wurde aus Superman/Batman die Serie Batman/Superman. Sie brachte es nur auf 32 Ausgaben, zwei Annuals und ein Special. Unter dem Label Rebirth wurde das Konzept mit Wonder Woman als Trinity fortgeführt.
